Pantene Beautiful Lengths

In memory of my grandmother and in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month I cut my hair tonight to give to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. My sister inspired me when she cut her hair a few months ago and donated it to Locks of Love. I thought it was so nice of her {she is the best}. I was a little nervous about cutting my hair but I'm so happy I did and that I can give it away for such a good cause :) I hope other people are inspired too! :)

{my grandmother}

{my sister}

{my ponytail to give away}

some extra information
you only need to donate 8 inches of hair
it takes six ponytails to make one wig
Pantene Beautiful Lengths has collected 80,000 ponytails!

Your story is inspiring. I work for Pantene, and Beautiful Lengths is a remarkable program. I also lost my grandmother to breast cancer, so my heart goes out to you. I'm sure you've probably checkout our site, but if not, please visit and share your story with others. I love to see people do everything they can to support fighting this horrible disease. Knowing your mom, I am not suprised you & your sister are so generous, willing to sacrifice. She certainly should be and is proud of all four of you.
Both of you are an inspiration no doubt to many who will see this.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much Melissa for stopping by my blog today and leading me to yours! I love it, and I'm really enjoying going through your archives and seeing all the brilliant details from your wedding. What is it about recent brides that they just can't get enough of that stuff?! Can't wait to see your official photographs (as I'm sure you can't either!)

And I'm so inspired by your generosity to the Pantene program. My hair isn't quite long enough but this for sure makes me want to donate it a few inches from now...
