Pretty Starfish

Charm from Garnish, Necklace from Dogeared, Necklace from Tiffany & Co., Brooch from Ebay, Earrings from Etsy by Crave Jewelry Design, Cuff Links from Tiffany & Co., Bracelet from J.Crew, Necklace from Nordstrom by Juicy Couture, Pendant from Etsy by Artgirlx

I think starfish are so pretty. Our wedding has been inspired by them, aqua blue, and the beach. I've been thinking about out what jewelry I might wear for our wedding besides my ring :) This weekend I found so many pretty things from the inexpensive to the diamond platinum necklace which is beautiful but a little expensive for me :)

T-Shirt For My Fiance

My fiance's bachelor party is this weekend. His best man made him a t-shirt so I made him one too :)

Just Married Banner

I love this idea from Martha Stewart Weddings! Even better you can download the template from their website to create it yourself. I think I need to make this for our wedding :)

My Dress is Here

My dress was delivered today. Here are some pictures of the box and some small details that don't show the actual dress just in case my fiance reads this :) I'm excited it's here but it still needs to have a few alterations done :(

My Flower Inspiration

Peony from Fifty Flowers, Sand Dollar from Hana Hou Productions, Ribbon from the Paper Source, Mason Jars on Ebay, Gerbera Daisy from Fifty Flowers, Vases on Brides.com, Ribbon from the Paper Source, Galvanized Bucket from Flowers and Supplies, Carnation from Fifty Flowers

Here is my inspiration board for our wedding flowers. I am going to order flowers from FiftyFlowers.com to create the centerpieces and make the bouquets. I am really excited about doing the flowers myself and it will be less expensive :)

For the centerpieces I am going to put white Gerbera Daisies in aqua blue mason jars. I was having a hard time finding the mason jars but my fiance's mom just called me today to let me know that she found them while driving to Pennsylvania. I am so excited!

A little while ago I saw a Martha Stewart TV special, Destination Weddings: Bahamas. I was so inspired by the whole show, but my favorite part was when Martha Stewart personally made the bouquet for her friend and publicist, Susan Magrino. She drilled holes in a sand dollar to use as the base for the bouquet. Then she placed the flowers through the holes she made and tied the flowers with a satin ribbon. For my bouquet and for my bridesmaids bouquets I am going to place white Gerbera Daisies through sand dollars and tie them with chocolate brown satin ribbon.

I'm also thinking about putting white Carnations in small galvanized buckets and using them to line the stairway outside at the Saltaire where we are having our wedding.

Gift From the Sea

One of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite books :)

"One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. One can collect only a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few."

Invitations Ready to Mail

I just finished handwriting the addresses on our invitations. I was a little nervous about addressing the envelopes myself so I used a ruler, pencil, and the best Martha Stewart fine-tip writing pen in ebony. I think the pen actually helped make my handwriting prettier :) I'm excited to take them to the post office tomorrow morning!

Martha Stewart Wine Labels

My sister bought these wine labels at Michaels for us. They are perfect and are light aqua blue with a white seashell border. I love Martha Stewart and my sister is the best for finding these for us :)

Wedding Wine

My fiance and I are making the wine for our wedding. It may seem like a crazy idea, but so far it has been fun :) We are making a Riesling from a wine making kit that we started at the end of March. This weekend we moved the wine to new glass bottles and tasted it for the first time. So far so good, I think we are going to make a few changes to make it perfect. In addition to the wine we will be having beer, a signature drink, and champagne of course :)

I saw this pretty satin clutch online at J.Crew this morning. This would be the perfect bag to carry on your wedding day or the perfect gift for your bridesmaids. Even better it's aqua blue and on sale with an extra 20% off!

Groomsmen and Usher Suits

Here is the suit our groomsmen and ushers are going to wear. We are going to rent them from the Black Tie Affair on the Outer Banks. I think they are going to look really nice with the bridesmaid dresses.

Here Comes the Bride

I found this necklace on Etsy today and fell in love. This is such a cute idea instead of the traditional bride to be t-shirt :)
