Bridesmaid Dresses

The bridesmaid dresses were ordered yesterday! They are from Thread Design and are turquoise cotton seersucker. I can’t wait to see them in person!

Wedding Dress and Shoes

Over Thanksgiving when I was home visiting my family in Colorado I bought my dress with my mom and sister. We only went to two stores and my sister found “the dress” on the sale rack at the last store. I think it was only the seventh dress I tried on and I definitely had that moment that I hear so much about when you find “the dress”. I have one more fitting in June and then I bring my dress home to North Carolina! Here is a picture of my shoes that I found at J.Crew for a great deal with the shoe clips my mom wore at her wedding that I will wear too!

Starfish Thank You Cards

Last week was my birthday! To thank everyone for their birthday wishes I made these starfish cards. To make the starfish sparkly I used Martha Stewart's crystal coarse glitter that Eric gave me along with some other crafty supplies :)

Martha Stewart Weddings Spring Issue

I am so excited the Martha Stewart Weddings spring issue is here. Since I’ve been engaged I have bought every one and filled them with little post it notes marking everything I love, which is pretty much everything. I think this issue will be one of my favorites!

Greetings from Melissa’s Greetings!

After reading so many great blogs I was inspired to create my own. This September my fiancé and I are getting married on the Outer Banks and with less than six months away our planning is all about the details. When not trying to plan the perfect Martha Stewart inspired wedding I love being crafty and hand making my own greeting cards. I felt this is a perfect way to share our wedding details, my crafty ideas and greeting cards too!
